Kathleen working hard on the design process - Kathleen designed a bottle brush print from flowers she collected on the way to the studio as well as recreating her sons sketch into a print for playroom cushions.
Marina got stuck into mixing some fresh colours which she used in her own five colour geometric design, playing freely with composition and texture. Don't you love it!
The great thing about the screenprinting method I teach at the studio is how simple it is to take your new skills home with you and keep on printing from your kitchen table ... and you only need a few supplies.
Thank you ladies for a super fun day - love your work!
I did mention quietly that this was the last Adult class for the year as Nest Studio has some pretty big projects to work on over the coming months (not to mention Umbrella Prints launching their new collection) but maybe when the weather warms up and my work load lightens up ... maybe my arm could be twisted...
SALA Festival Opening Night Invitation for you!
147 Magill Road Stepney // 6-7pm Friday August 2
All children and families are welcome to celebrate the opening night of our exhibition, Talking Heads.
The Nest Studio children's art will be on exhibition for the month of
August and will be visible 24/7 from the Nest Studio Shop window.
Sharing in the celebration with your child not only shows them how much
you appreciate them but it also validates their own ideas and work as
At Nest Studio we believe nurturing your child's innate creativity is
highly valuable and worthwhile (hence taking up prime Adelaide retail
frontage with the work of children).

Fostering a love of art. Art classes are for children aged 3_13 years (+ teens & adults are now welcome!) and run with the school terms.... there is a visual literacy focus (we love children's books!) and each term we explore a different art form.
Art is much more than just a fun extra activity for kids. Art opens up a child's world and mind, and offers them the skills they need for a bright future.
This album gives you an idea of what the Nest Studio artroom looks like and with the permission of the students, I hope to display their artwork once in a while so that you can see what fun we get up to. The photos on display are dating from today right back to 2005.
If you are interested in enroling your child in Nest Studio art classes for children please send me an email to enquire about availability, then download the enrolment form.
