Sometimes I bring Olive with me to work. It is not always the most productive day... for example here you can see Olive sitting behind me playing nicely with some wet squooshy clay.. I'm not sure how the clay got wet but it did. And then the clay started to appear on her legs and whoops there it is, clothes are off! Only moments before this, great sculptural masterpieces were being created in a very civilised fashion... I turn my back and .... mmm messy lovely goodness. Fortunatley clay washed off with a squirt of water, I literally hosed Olive down outside where we wash our silkscreens down.
I loved Mel's story about her Little Artist
"My favourite art project by one of my kids was actually the first piece of art my eldest child made. She was 18 months old and had brought some footpath chalk inside without my knowledge and drew a massive scribbly mural on our bathroom wall. It was really pretty and had some recogniseable shapes in it and I took loads of photos (as any proud first time parent would right?) It was all fun and games until we realised that the chalk colour had soaked into the white plaster on the walls and it took about 5 coats of paint to eventually cover it all up!"
Congratulations Mel you win a copy of Little Artists Handmade!
