Anyone who has moved house will appreciate my absence from Moopy&Me, moving is completely and utterly time consuming and exhausting (and we havn't even moved yet!) I have not had a moment to spare...to even pick up the camera (or charge the batteries). The sheer amount of organising that is needed to relocate a business is enough to make me want to sign onto a 100 year long lease. But all that whining aside.... DRUM ROLL PLEASE..... I am very very super dooper excited to announce that Nest Studio is moving to Stepney on Magill Road (Sth.Aust).
It is a bigger and brighter space surrounded by many lovely shops, including :: Mid Century Modern, Khai Liew, Gallery 139, AP Bond Gallery, Ropar Gallery, FAQ cafe.... just to name a few. Amy and I have started visiting our new neighbours and we are happy to report that they are all absolutely lovely. There is the most precious garden park across the road that our girls have already fondly named 'The Fairy Park'. Our trick to get a moments peace is to encourage the girls to go fairy hunting... Amy started them off with finding a fairy wand (otherwise known to us silly adults as a tiny stick) works a treat every time!
Our art classes will resume as normal in the Croydon Studio until we move on August 1, then we start in the new studio at 147 Magill Road in week 3 of term 3 (August 3).
Catherine from Little Lotus children's relaxation and meditiation will also be moving with us, which we are over the moon about. Catherine's classes are so beautiful they literally bring a mother to tears watching as her restless child transforms into a peaceful butterfly.
AND I am very proud to announce that Nest Studio will be presenting "Lady" by Amy Prior, an exhibition of print, pattern & papercut for SALA week (South Australian Living Artist's week). Opening night August 6 at 6pm. PLEASE do pop in for a little drink to not only enjoy (and buy) Amy's beautiful works, but also to help us celebrate the new shop/studio.... which will be filled to the brim with new stock that compliments our new Umbrella Prints designs... let's just say it will be GRAND.
Two new colours :: Turtledove & Persimmon
I for one will miss The Croydon Store's (across the road) friendly smiles and South Australian produce. Luckily there is also a good coffee shop in Stepney and children-friendly too.

Yay!Congrats on the new shop! I adore your new fabric colors - I MUST get some of the elephant fabric when I find out whether or not a friend of mine is having a girl or a boy!
