I have a sneek peek at the cover of the new "Quilts Baby!" book, available in May (which includes my "Peekaboo" play quilt). This is what the blurb has to say...
"Modern, innovative, and exciting: if you’ve never associated these words with baby quilts before, you will now! Here’s a collection of fresh designs that aren’t fussy, cutesy, or old-fashioned, but that still have that “aww” factor. Best of all, every one is easy to make, and most take only a weekend to complete. Try a round “Peekaboo” blankie with fanciful creatures hidden under fabric flaps, the clever two-in-one “Good Morning/Good Night” quilt, and a funny “Monkey Monkey” block quilt. Plus, there’s helpful information on choosing baby-friendly and safe materials."
It seems silly to be thinking about quilts having just come out of such a revolting heat wave (all my best to the eastern states still battling bushfires) but by May it should be cooled down well enough for some pre-winter sewing.
I love the subtle colours on the book's cover quilt... It's always a relief when a cover turns out so adorable, especially being only a contributor, you get no opportunities to see what's going on with the book layout until it's published (the designer control freak in me has troubles letting go). And the process of publishing takes so long you almost forget what it is you contributed to a book... Olive actually uses her Peekaboo blanky everyday (for tummy time) so this time I can remember .... I can't say that is so for Pip's book... gosh I wish it would hurry up and get out into the world so that I can see what it was I made ...and all of the other cool projects the crafty gals got up to.

It looks so interesting - and I already pre-ordered it. Had to do it after reading about it ;0) I'm really happy that you linked to it...and can't wait to see what work you have in it :0))
