When a bunny is a puppy

Easter

Grace_puppy

I have finally tried out Camilla's pattern for her adorable crocheted critters (from Happy Hooker ), sadly due to my lack of patience I ditched the pattern early on... I kept getting tighter and tighter balls of crochet? I made it up as I went along and as you can see ... I should have given that pattern another go!! Head too big, face too flat, huge holey crochet or too bunchy crochet... None the less still quite cute and this bunny kinda puppy is heading across town today for a special little someones birthday party.. Happy first birthday Grace xxooxx.

(Note: the critters don't take too long ... one evening in front of the TV but then again I didn't make it properly ... I can't wait to try again)

I followed Fiona's lead this Easter and made a last minute dash to Wheel & Barrow to pick up some cookie cutters... Thanks for the tip! I baked a basic butter biscuit but added Kangaroo Island honey, real vanilla bean and a dusting of secret german spices.. well not so secret really I just don't have time right now to look it up or add links to the talent mentioned above... will link it up later after Easter festivites tonight.    Ok I searched for a link for my spices but no luck... they are made by Alba... and they are for pfefferkuchen (best known at Christmas ... but well worth a revisit in small doses during the year.. I did say small! otherwise they wouldn't be soooo incredibly special at Christmas)

Oh and a big thank you for all of your warm wishes of congratulations regarding the fabric adventure.... more pics of the holey puppy ... practice makes perfect... All hail Camilla!

the bunny is the cutest!! and those bikkies sound fab, I made boring ones (actually had 3 goes at making bikkies this year as the first lot MELTED (!) in the oven. Only I can melt bikkies) so I did the basic recipe. But I did want to add honey, yours sounded very yummy

awwww so sweet :D how great you have the pattern!

Does the book 'Stitch 'N Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker' have Camilla's pattern for her bunny? I really would like to have a go - I love your fluffy wool it looks very cuddly!

Love the yarn you used for the head and upper body. I've wondered what kind of yarn would be appropriate for this project.
Looks great!
