Bon Voyage

Puppystudyingmap

These lucky guys are flying off to America tomorrow for a little working holiday. They are very nervous because they are having their very first photo shoot for a book. The craft book, featuring many other fun and funky toys (jam packed with patterns), will be available just before Christmas (what an awesome pressy). Most likely they will be available from a good craft shop near you (I will keep you updated). The puppy and bunny pattern will be included.... maybe you can do a better job at them than me!

Newkaffe

I have had a few questions lately regarding where I get inspiration from... and besides the mountains of talent on the internet, I would have to say fabric inspires me. I was having trouble getting into the mood for elephant making today and came across this new Kaffe Fasset fabric...well need I say more, that was all the inspiration I needed to dress that elephant for a wild trip to the US.

Other exciting news: the postcards arrive tomorrow from the printer YAH! about time....

*UPDATE*
Thank you to all those who enquired about the exhibition and requested a postcard... they are being sent off today. Due to the amount of requests, I am sorry to say I can't afford to mail out any more as of today, those of you who have made requests prior will get theirs in the post soon I hope :D

How old are you Moopy?

TWO!!

Xylo

The sun came out just long enough for us to enjoy a splendid couple of hours at the Adelaide Zoo for Lily's second birthday. It was amazing, the rain stopped when we got there and then started up again when we left. I am not sure but judging by her reaction I think Lily's favourite part of the day was the candles on her cupcake (big fancy cake coming on Sunday for the party) and my favourite part was just as I put her to bed ... she looked up at me and grinned and said for the first time ...."I love you Mummy". And like a big baby I burst into tears, I was completely sure I was over the moon that the big baby hurdle was behind us... but it looks like I am a teensy bit emotional that my baby is all grown up.

Who is the sheep? or for those Mem fans, Where is the green sheep? My girlfriend who gave this coat as a birthday gift wondered if Lily would get to wear it due to the fact we are headed for summer..... She refuses to take it off!

Confused

Anne Wilson has just hit number one on my list of favourites (Sara Fanelli is a very close second). I got Lily this book for her birthday and was inspired by the crafty gift giver who made a cloud to go with Eric Carles "Little Cloud" book (who are you? sorry), to make matching finger puppets. I would loved to have made more and spend more care with the details but I ran out of time.....

How big?

Giantkitten

This big!

Kittengiant2

A giant kitten for the Morphe window display.... and a birthday present... for... you will never guess. I asked Chris yesturday what he would like for his birthday and he said a giant kitten, I suspect he was just trying to make less work for me at the moment, I know he really wants these boots. Moopy turns 2 in less than a week (Chris and Lily are a few days apart)...and chris has exams...it is the busiest time of year for us around here. I can't wait to see Moopy's face when she sees the giant kitten tomorrow morning (yes I am one of those dorks who takes photos of their work even if it's 12am)

*update*
The vintage fabric used on the back is my favourite thrift find and I had a lot of trouble making the first cut into it..... as you can see Chris has a fight on his hands..."Lily's kitten!"
