Sniffle sniffle
As I sneeze all over my computer screen, I wonder if sending Moopy off to the big bad world of germs was really such a good idea...we all seem to be getting sick at least twice a month.... my mum tells me it won't be long now and she will fight all the bugs away. And excuse me again with my deepest appologies to those waiting for parcels....they should arrive shortly.
I am going to take a nap now, hopefully my ever growing list of things that must be done will give me a break for a few hours....it's funny how we put the pressure on to get this stuff done .... no one is telling me to do it but still I create these massive deadlines?
My mum, oma and aunty are all flying out to Berlin next week and mum really wants me to give her a little list of things to bring back for Moopy & me (and chris too) but I am stumped? has anyone got any ideas of some really fun stuff they know of that you can really only buy in Germany? Any books? fabric? anything?

Hope you get well soon! I know what you mean about the bugs - we're right in the thick of it too! (Someone told me that the first 6 months of childcare/kindy is worst for this... counting down the days!!) Oh, and not sure if you've seen this fabric before: http://www.equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_main.html?catid=132&sid=31U9Hz1FO9vR9o8-02105420674.87 Not sure where you'd get it in Germany, but apparently it is German, and it's very cool! :)

Hi--the German cover of Harry Potter is very nice, though I'm not sure if you would want a book you can't read. I really enjoy your blog!

The little wooden animals from Ostheimer (www.ostheimer.de) -- I've heard they're cheaper in Germany. Dangerous for the wallet because they're all so cute and you can fit so many in all the little nooks and crannies of your baggage :-)

Hi Carly,
Yes...wooden toys! I haven't been to Germany for ages but I remember a fantastic Christmas market..1000s of brightly painted toys. Lucky you.

I can recommend German chocolate! And Haribo sweets! But books...let´s see...there are some great felting books out now, and this one, that I love very much: http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/3332014854/qid%3D1123597100/028-6060847-2194920 And my favorite childrens books at the moment: The books about Pettersson and Findus by Sven Nordquist. I love the illustrations! They are actually Swedish, but I think they are not available in English. At least, I couldn´t find them on amazon.com. Here is a link to one of them: http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/3789169021/qid=1123597616/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_10_4/028-6060847-2194920
