A grand day
The day is getting closer and I am starting to get butterflys... Nest Studio's art classes start in one week and next Saturday I am having an open day so that the kids can experience an art lesson before parents pay fees. The furniture is almost set up and ready....I am getting close to decorating mode..Yah! that part will be fun. So if you happen to be in Adelaide that day, you are very welcome to pop in!
Moopy has been doing a little painting of her own lately, testing out all the new supplies.

Just making sure the paint is washable!!
I can't wait to post up some pictures of the day and parents will be welcome to look at their children's art in the Nest Studio online gallery (which you can access by clicking on the big blue art class button).
My postcard screen has been made, now I just have to print them.... no peeking sorry, I don't want to spoil it for you guys. And my recycled monster is almost complete for my first attempt at MOS. Lots of piccys coming soon.

WOW what an awesome poster! Lily is such a little artist :P

Carly
All the very best for Nest Studios! I am sure it will be a sucess. I and two friends in Switzerland started "Paint Pots" for kids from 1-5. We had the parents stay (for insurance reasons!) and we would set up loads of art and craft stuff etc and it was great. So many parents loved the idea of not having the mess in their own homes!!!! In my opinion the more mess the more fun!! In the beginning we had 1 class and then moved to our own premises and now there are 6 classes. I really miss "Paint Pots" and had thought of starting something here in Canberra, but on my own it was going to be too much work. I had two very like minded friends so it was wonderful! So I just let my kids make the "mess" at home!
I am studying Primary Teaching and my dream would have me being "the crazy art teacher" in a school!
Again good luck Carly! If we were in Adelaide I would sign my three kids up!!!

Good Luck! I think what you are going to do is wonderful. My 1 year old goes straight for the paint at our eldest sons kinder. The other day he painted his hair blue when I turned my back for a minute ( you can't do that with little ones, can you!). I love your MOS too.
